Line 9 of Shenzhen Metro will run eastward from Hongshuwan to Wenjin. It will have 10 transfer stations. The line is 25.38 km long, running through the city’s districts of Nanshan, Futian and Luohu, and is expected to start revenue service in December 2016.
== Naming ==
Line 9 was previously known as the Meilin Line, and before that as the Neihuan Line, which means a line which is annular. In December 2011 the alignment of this line was changed,〔(About Name of the station which will be built in Third phase of Shenzhen Metro ) (Chinese)〕 so the old name no longer fits.
